What's the difference between a hummer and a jeep?

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what my favourite car is, so i noticed that i like how a hummer looks like, then i found out that there were some jeep's that looked like a hummer. so i'm wondering what would the difference be if there is any. hmm i like those US army hummers for example, so what kind of car would that be exactly?
p.s. use little words and don't make fun of my choice of words! i don't know **** about cars and i admit it!! thanks!!

I drive the military Jeep version and it is nothing but junk, terrible gas mileage, completely unreliable, unnecessary and off-road unless your in a large open space with enough room for a turn around. Overall they are too expensive and only over-rated Chevy Tahoe. Oh wait they are built on the platform.You can get the brush guard on any HUMMER, this is just a piece of aluminum. Does not protect a vehicle is expensive and looks terrible.The HUMMER is usually a bit like driving a box on the road, there is nothing about them aerodynamic at all.
